Nervous and excited Asaka took her first Yoga Flow class in 2014 and was instantly transformed. She likes to say that yoga found her in a time she needed it most. Through the discipline and practice of yoga she learned to have patience and compassion for herself and found the space to have the same for others. In 2017 she committed to the 200-hour teacher training through Yoga Flow. Exploring the poses and transitions brought her closer to her own practice awakening a joy in sharing this with others.
On the mat, Asaka likes to emphasize moving with breath and the discipline to sit and settle into a pose with intention. All poses have their own challenges. Everyone has their own lessons to learn through listening to their body’s responses to the poses.
